CHILDREN UNDER 5

Kemper County is a participant in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Project proving a free book mailed monthly to the child in the child’s name from birth until the child reaches the age of five. This project is sponsored by the United Way of East Mississippi and the North American Coal Company, Inc in Kemper County. To enroll your child on the website enter   www.imaginationlibrary.com and select the “PARENT” tab located at the top of the web page. Registration cards may also be picked up at the Kemper County Library or the Kemper County Economic Development Authority office during normal business hours. Child must be: 3-4 years of age on or before Sept. 1 (Head Start) or 8 weeks of age on/before Sept. 1 (Early Head Start). The following information must be presented: Proof of income: 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ tax return, Child Support, T ANF letter, copy of college grants/scholarships, and any other source of household income. Social Security or SSI statement. Proof of age: Birth Certificate or form 121. Scholarship Softball Tournament for Cross, Green, Parham, Woods family scholarship get your teams from church, community, family, states, towns and schools. To family in Porterville, Scooba and DeKalb, get your teams together. Children, male and female teams. You can practice on the field just let us know so we can schedule the fields. BOHANNON FAMILY SUMMER BASH 2018

Join us for a Bohannon day of Family blessings, conversations, good food, music and fun. Date: July 14, at 3 p.m. Place: 11465 Hwy 16 West DeKalb, 39328. All family members are welcome to participate in our family bash. Feel free to donate or bring your favorite dish. Tee shirts will be available for this event at a price of $8. HOMEBUYER
WORKSHOP

A Homebuyer Education Workshop will be held on August 9th from 1-5 p.m. at the Kemper County Extension Office in DeKalb.  This workshop will provide information on everything you need to know to become a successful homebuyer. At the end of the class you will receive a certificate of completion, which is one of the requirement for those purchasing a home through the USDA Housing Program.  Cost$ 40.00.
