FREE EATING SMART BEING ACTIVE CLASS

Join us for a 9 session course where you will learn about healthy eating, cooking with new recipes, saving money at the grocery store and getting physically active. RUBY D. RANKIN 5K RUN/WALK

The Ruby Rankin 5K Run/Walk will take place October 6, 8 a.m., at Kemper Lake. Preregister by Sept. 21; $20  for adults and $10 for kids. All proceeds go to the Ruby D. Rankin Scholarship Fund. GULLY REUNION SET FOR OCT 7

The Gully Reunion is set for Sunday, Oct. 7 at the old Cleveland School, about 23 miles west of DeKalb on Hwy 16. The socializing is set to begin at 11 a.m. Attendees are asked to bring their own picnic lunch and all Gully cousins are invited. for more information contact Robert M. HOME BUYER 
WORKSHOP

A Home buyer Education Workshop will be held on October 11  from 1-5 p.m. at the Kemper County Extension Office in DeKalb.  This workshop will provide information on everything you need to know to become a successful home buyer. At the end of the class you will receive a certificate of completion, which is one of the requirement for those purchasing a home through the USDA Housing Program.  Cost$ 40.00. NEW BEGINNING UMC FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY

FREE BOOKS TO 

CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS OLD

Kemper County is a participant in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Program providing a free book mailed monthly to the child in the child’s name from birth until the child reaches the age of five. This project is sponsored by the United Way of East Mississippi, the Strasser Family Foundation and the Partners for Kemper County, Community Foundation of East Mississippi.  To enroll your child on the website enter uwem.org and click on Impact Programs Imagination Library  or imaginationlibrary.com and select the “PARENT” tab located at the top of the web page. Registration cards may also be picked up at the Kemper County Library or the Kemper County Economic Development Authority office during normal business hours. KEMPER COUNTY TRIAD MEETING

The Kemper County TRIAD regular monthly meeting will be held on Wed. October, 2 starting at 10 a.m.

All Senior Citizens are invited to attend. All meetings are held at the Sheriff's office in DeKalb.



"END TIMES" BIBLE CONFERENCE

Salem Baptist Church (Kemper County) is holding an "End Times" Bible Conference, October 21 at 6 p.m. and October 22-24 6:30 p.m.  Study includes the Rapture, second coming of Christ, Tribulation and more.
