MUSICAL PROGRAM

The Baylor Family Singers are sponsoring an Appreciation Musical Program at the Pleasant Grove MB Church in DeKalb, MS, 1192 Pleasant Grove Rd, for their Pastor and First lady, G. Stribling. VBS AT BETHLEHEM UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Bethlehem United Methodist Church, DeKalb will have their Vacation Bible School on Wednesday evening, June 26 and Thursday evening, June 27 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. each evening. Thursday will be Movie Night. Rev. Johnnye Ruth Davis, Pastor.


4TH  OF JULY CELEBRATION

The Kemper County Chamber of Commerce and the Kemper County Historical Association proudly announce plans for joint celebrations for July 4, 2019. The Kemper Chamber's Independence Day Celebration and Veterans Memorial Service will start at 10 a.m. on the Courthouse Square, with the presentation of the "Sonny" Montgomery Patriot Award. Immediately following will be the unveiling of the Rubin Kemper historical marker, on the east side of the courthouse square. Please make plans to join us for both of these memorable events. NO LIONS CLUB FAIR THIS 
SUMMER

For the first time in many decades, there will be no fair in DeKalb this summer. The ball field is no longer available for this purpose. Several alternate locations have been considered but none meet the numerous requirements. It is hoped that this problem will be resolved in the coming year, enabling the fair to return during the summer of 2020.



SUMMER READING

DeKalb Public library is proud to announce the return of their summer reading program. Reading logs are now available, and weekly craft sessions will be held the entire month of June. Weekly crafts are every Thursday in June from 1-3 p.m. For more information contact the DeKalb Public Library at 601-743-5981.



KEMPER COUNTY SOIL & WATER CONSERVATION DEISTRICT ANNOUNCES BEAVER CONTROL
 COST-SHARE PROGRAM

Applications are now being accepted by Kemper County SWCD for the Kemper County Beaver Control Cost-Share Program. The Mississippi Soil and Water Conservation Commission and the Kemper County Board of Supervisors have funded the program to aid non-industrial private landowners in beaver control.
