The Kemper Academy Rams improved to 3-0 Monday as they took a 12-1 win over Starkville Christian in prep baseball action.



Kemper Academy was to have played games on Friday and Saturday. Those games were cancelled due to the weather. At this point, the Starkville Christian game was the only one for the Rams to play this week.



 “We are trying to schedule something for Friday,” coach Tony Cawthorn said. “I thought we played better. We moved a few people around in our lineup and it worked better. We cut down on our errors.



The Rams scored four runs in the first, one in the second, six in the third and one in the fourth. Starkville Christian scored its only run in the third inning.



Kemper Academy outhit Starkville Christian 5-2. Chase Cawthorn had one hit while scoring two runs and knocking in one run. Logan Christopher had one hit while knocking in two runs and scoring a run. Dylan Dawson had a hit, scored a run and knocked in a run. River Keaton scored three runs and had one hit while knocking in a run. Dylan Ricks scored a run, had a hit, and knocked in two runs.



Christopher was the winning pitcher. He had seven strike outs and allowed one hit.
